Pre-season is in full swing for Fylde Ladies as they prepare for the opening match of the FA Women’s Premier League season.

The ladies kick-off their campaign with a home fixture against Leicester City WFC on Sunday 21st August (k/o 2pm) and manager Luke Swindlehurst had called on all AFC Fylde fans to come along and show their support.

“Pre-season is moving along quickly and we have been working very hard to make sure the players are ready for the challenge ahead. This is a process that keeps improving with every session and every game. We have had some tough early fixtures to help us sharpen up as quickly as possible.

“I’m confident the hard work that the players are putting in will pay dividends when the league games come around. We have been together four times a week which allows us to get through a lot of work.

“We have made some quality additions to the squad and will be looking to play an exciting brand of attacking football. Off the field, we want to reach out to the local community for new supporters and families to come support the ladies team at the fantastic new stadium at Mill Farm.”
