The club would like to thank all supporters for their part in the record breaking crowd at Mill Farm on Boxing Day.
An unbelievable 3,858 fans turned out for the National League North fixture against Chorley and whilst the match itself ended in disappointment, there was plenty to celebrate.
The crowd was double the previous record of 1,935 – set against Harrogate Town in October – and even surpassed numbers for the Brett Ormerod Testimonial in the summer!
The figure was also higher than nine of the eleven National League matches on Monday and even four of the League Two games.
Top five non-league crowds:
Tranmere 7,274
Wrexham 4,317
AFC Fylde 3,858
Aldershot 3,457
Darlington 3,000
At our level, only Stockport County have attracted a bigger crowd in our league this season.
Our average gate now stands at 1,804 for this term – well over triple last season’s average.
