The Coasters look to carry their excellent league form into the F.A. Cup when they face Bradford Park Avenue at the Horsfall Stadium this Saturday afternoon.
Fylde have been in fine form this season in the league, sitting top of the Vanarama Conference North after 10 games having won seven and scoring 28 goals along the way.
However, this coming Saturday see’s The Coasters turn their attentions to their first cup game of any sort this season against a BPA side that have already been beaten by AFC Fylde this season – 2-1 at Kellamergh Park in early September.
Fylde fared extremely well in cup competitions last season as they won the Doodson Cup by defeating Skelmersdale 1-0 in the final at Edgeley Park in Stockport, before beating Chorley 4-1 in the LFA Cup at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton.
Bradford Park Avenue have had a somewhat disappointing start to the season so far, sitting in 18 place in the Conference North table having played one game more than The Coasters. Of their 11 games so far, they’ve lost six and only won three times.
However, anything can happen in cup competition and the F.A. Cup is known for producing magic across the nation, so this weekend’s tie between Fylde and BPA is likely to be a lot more closely contested than you would imagine.
The match kicks off at 15:00 at the Horsfall Stadium, Bradford so make sure you come down to support The Coasters and hopefully we can try an advance to the next round of the F.A. Cup and beyond!
