Young midfielder Harvey Gregson has been loaned out to local side Bamber Bridge with the aim of gaining valuable first-team experience.
The 19-year-old joined the Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit for an initial month, and made his Brig debut in Saturday’s 4-2 away win at Scarborough Athletic, impressing in the heart of the midfield.
Jamie Milligan’s side have made a positve start to the new season, currently sitting fourth with 17 points from 8 games.
Discussing the loan, Coasters assistant manager Nick Chadwick said: ”Harvey’s done really well since joining us in pre-season and proven that he is capable of handling senior football. We feel that exposing him to this at Bamber Bridge will enhance his development as a player and provide him with valuable experience.
“Bamber Bridge are a good footballing side, blessed with talented young players and have a good person in Jamie Milligan in charge.
“We’re confident that Harvey will be a success during his loan, and the plan will be to get out and track his progress over the next month.”
