Following AFC Fylde’s final game of the National League season game against Barnet, fans and players came together to present various different accolades before closing the curtain on the 2024/25 campaign.

Both the Men’s and Women’s first teams were in attendance, with Danny Murphy’s side receiving their awards.

Young midfielder Imogen Borrowdale was the first called up, claiming the AFC Fylde Women’s Young Player of the Year, and it wasn’t long before she was up again, claiming the Supporter’s Player of the Year as she came away with a double.

The final Women’s award for Players’ Player was awarded to Nicola James and presented by Danny Murphy who spoke to the supporter’s about what promises to be an exciting year for the Women’s set up in 2024/25.

The presentation then moved onto the Men’s awards, starting with Supporters’ Player of the Year. Coasters fans voted Brentford loanee Ben Winterbottom as their Player of the Year in what’s been a promising campaign for the shot stopper.

The club then awarded it’s annual award to Volunteer of the Year, with Fixture Secretary Phil Heald deservedly winning the award for his outstanding contributions to the football club throughout the season and over a number of years.

It was then Nick Haughton’s turn to take centre stage winning back to back awards for Goal of the Season and Top Goalscorer. His stunning half-way line effort in the 5-2 win over Aldershot topping the picks for best goal.

With just two awards left to give out, Director of Football Stewart Mairs presented the club’s Young Player of the Year which deservedly went to winger Tyler Roberts who despite having his season cut short to injury, had enjoyed a standout year for the Coasters.

The final award for the Men’s Players’ Player of the Year, voted by the dressing room. The winner, stepping up for the third time of the evening, was Mr Fylde Nick Haughton for another outstanding campaign on the Fylde Coast.

Chief Operating Officer Craig Dootson also spoke to the attending supporters thanking them for their continuous support and the importance of sticking together as one as we enter what we hope to be a successful and positive 2025/26 season.

The club would like to place on record it’s thankfulness to supporters for their incredible support through a difficult 12 months, and ensure work has already begun to make next season a strong one for everyone involved at Mill Farm.
