AFC Fylde are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Tom McCready.

The 26-year-old, who has spent the last two seasons plying his trade in League Two with Exeter City, has penned a one-year deal with the club.

Having started his youth career with Premier League side Everton, McCready has since turned out for Chester and Morecambe before joining Paul Tisdale’s Exeter in February 2015.

McCready impressed manager Dave Challinor during pre-season and was delighted to get a deal over the line: “I have been training with the squad for a few weeks so I already know the lads so that should make it a seamless transition. I just want to get playing now and help out on the pitch.”
