AFC Fylde Community Foundation are delighted to announce an exciting newly formed partnership with Fylde Day Services and Pear Tree Specialist Sixth Form.
Collaborative working with Kepak Convenience Foods, means the Foundation is now able to offer both a diverse range of free weekly sessions.
These will include social skills workshops, sports activities, engagement work, health and wellbeing education as well as many other positive life-enhancing projects.
With the help of experience Specialist Coaches, the Foundation will be providing vital sport and activity sessions to those in the wider community who may not otherwise get the opportunity to participate.
As part of the unique programme, participants from Pear Tree Specialist Sixth Form will also be supported and guided by the Foundation team towards achieving accredited qualifications.
This work will sit alongside and complement the current curriculum at the Sixth Form, enabling the young adults to access more pathways alongside their normal studies.
Foundation Director Tom Hutton is incredibly proud the organisation can offer these sessions to Fylde Day Services and Pear Tree Specialist Sixth Form.
He said: “Our aim is always to reach out, involve and support as many people in our local community as possible, irrespective of ability or circumstances.
“We have always taken great pride in being all-inclusive and overcoming barriers to ensure everyone can participate on an equal playing field. So this partnership is of enormous importance to us and a fantastic step forward for our organisation.
“It’s all about teamwork. Without the support of our partners, Kepak Convenience Foods, we simply would not be able to offer these free sessions. By working together we are changing lives for the better.”
