AFC Fylde Community Foundation will be welcoming donations to our Fylde Kids Christmas Gift Appeal ahead of Saturday’s Vanarama National League fixture against Hartlepool United at Mill Farm.
As a Foundation, we are working with local partners to give vulnerable families peace of mind and help make the festive period a little more special for children across Fylde.
And prior to the Coasters’ home game, we are calling on Fylde supporters to spread some Christmas cheer for those who need it the most in our local community.
New and unopened presents for boys and girls aged two to 11 years old can be dropped off at Community Corner, located between the West and North Stand at Mill Farm, between 1pm-2:45pm.
Sadly, we know that this will be a tough Christmas for local families with the financial impact of the rise in the cost of living continuing to cause an unprecedented challenge for thousands of the most disadvantaged low-income families and individuals living in our borough.
All presents donated will be allocated to vulnerable families to ensure every child in the Fylde borough receives a Christmas present this year.
Michael Whittle, Assistant Foundation Director at AFC Fylde Community Foundation, said: “Christmas can be a time to celebrate, but it can also be a time of difficulty and stress for many people in Fylde, who are struggling with the cost of living.
“We recognise that as a Community Foundation, alongside our partners with support from the Football Club, we can make the festive period more enjoyable for local families and their children.
“On Saturday, we are hosting a present appeal drop-off, and are encouraging all fans to bring gifts for an important local community cause.”
We look forward to seeing the AFC Fylde family come together to support our Fylde Kids Christmas Gift Appeal.
