AFC Fylde’s Development Squad are at home to FC United of Manchester’s reserve side tomorrow evening (Thursday, 26 March) for their latest Lancashire Football League West Division match.
Alan Williams took over the side earlier this season following the departure of Andy Pilkington and has led the team on a decent run of late with just one defeat in their last five outings.
However, The Coasters sit in 11th place in the West Division with 19 points from their 14 games so far but have had to deal with a number of postponements over the last few months which have hampered the defence of their West Division title.
Their opponents on the other hand sit top of the pile with 34 points from 19 games – four points clear of second placed Lancaster City, but have played two games more – and are on course to add this season’s West Division championship to the East Division crown they won last season.
The game kicks off at 7:45pm at Kellamergh Park and is a great chance to see some of the younger members of the squad that have been knocking on the door of the First Team for the past couple of seasons.
