AFC Fylde and AFC Fylde Community Foundation support Anti-Bullying Week 2023, which is happening across the United Kingdom from Monday 13th November to Friday 17th November!
Anti-Bullying Week is a fantastic way to remind everyone that whether it is at school, at home, in the workplace, in the local community or online, we should always treat others with respect and think about our words before speaking to others. Everyone at AFC Fylde and AFC Fylde Community Foundation are getting behind Anti-Bullying Week.
Club and Foundation staff have taken part in activities for Anti-Bullying Week, with the theme this year being ‘Make a noise about Bullying.’ AFC Fylde first-team players have also supported Anti-Bullying Week throughout the week.
We are also joining other Football Clubs and community organisations in raising awareness of Anti-Bullying Week, and the issues that can arise when someone is bullied.
This Anti-Bullying Week allows us to come together and have discussions about what bullying means to us, how banter can turn into something more hurtful, and what we can do to stop bullying. Together, we can make a difference and take a stand against bullying.
The Anti-Bullying Alliance said: “Bullying affects millions of lives and can leave us feeling hopeless, but it doesn’t have to be this way. If we challenge it, we can change it, and it starts by reaching out.
“From teachers to parents and influencers to politicians, we all have a responsibility to help each other reach out. Together, let’s be the change we want to see. Reflect on our own behaviour, set positive examples and create kinder communities.”
AFC Fylde Community Foundation provides important programmes to combat bullying in local schools and within the community.
