Chairman David Haythornthwaite has stressed the importance of finding the right person for the role, and not rush the appointment of AFC Fylde Manager.
Speaking to BBC Lancashire on Monday morning, the AFC Fylde Chairman touched on a few areas surrounding Dave Challinor’s replacement.
“It’s not something we do every day, look for a manager. We’ve got people we’ve thought about, and we know managers in this league, we know those out of work, and you think to yourself who may do a job.”
“It’s mostly about how we want to play, but we also want to win – and getting that combination is not easy.”
“Sometimes targets aren’t available, or out of reach, but we’re not in a particular rush – we want to get the right person, we’re open to that, the phone has been ringing with all kinds of people at all skillsets.”
“We’re in talks with a couple of potential candidates, and are waiting for permission to talk to a couple – so we have to go down that route, and do things properly.”
“We’ve got a couple of ideas on who may run the team this weekend, to look after the side on a temporary basis.”
