This is a part-time but paid role, with full responsibility for the AFC Fylde Ladies team.
AFC Fylde men’s team has risen from the depths of non-league football to a full-time squad, operating in the fifth tier of English football and playing in a brand-new state-of-the-art stadium, and we now want to take our Women’s team on a similar journey.
Fylde Ladies currently play in the FA Women’s National League, just two promotions from the WSL, and it is the current focus of the club to attain this status within the coming years. With their own ground at Kellemergh Park and training facilities that are second to none, they are now well-positioned for this challenge.
Fylde Ladies are currently a semi-professional team, and every penny must be maximised to the full. In keeping with the men’s game at this level and other teams in their league, it relies on volunteers to help run the club on a day-to-day basis, especially on a Match Day, which is always a Sunday.
As such, a key role of the General Manager will be to recruit, lead and motivate the team and work closely with the club’s Chief Operating Officer and Director of Football, to whom they will report to.
It must be stressed that this is very much a hands-on role and would therefore suit someone not currently employed full-time.
Experience in football is not critical, but organisation skills and fanatical attention to detail are a prerequisite for any successful candidate.
If you are up for the challenge, please submit your CV by post, together with a cover letter explaining why you are the best person for this role, addressed Private and Confidential to Chris Beech, Director of Football, Mill Farm Sports Village, Coronation Way, Kirkham, PR4 3JZ.
