Fylde Ladies have further strengthened their squad with the addition of winger Lagan Makin ahead of the new season.

The former Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End star believes the switch will prove beneficial to her own game: “I’m really looking forward to playing in such a great stadium with amazing facilities. I know this will raise my game to the next level.

“I can’t wait to get going and start bagging a few goals. This is a great opportunity to create a legacy for the future of Fylde Ladies.”

Manager Luke Swindlehurst spoke of his delight to have Makin on board: “Lagan signing is great news for the club and I’m delighted we can work together again. Her ambitions are the same as ours – she is dedicated and passionate about reaching the very top.

“She has genuine pace and is a real threat in front of goal, which shows from her impressive stats last season. I’ve no doubt that Lagan will have a great season with us.”
