Coasters star Danny Lloyd has been named Player of the Month for January by the supporters.

The 24-year-old winger has enjoyed a fantastic month, netting twice in the FA Trophy victory at Eastbourne Borough and most recently in the 2-1 win over AFC Telford at the weekend.

Despite strong competition from fellow forward Rowe, who netted a phenomenal eight goals over the course of January, Lloyd was pleasantly surprised to win the award.  

“I didn’t actually know I’d won! It’s always nice to receive some recognition for your performances and I think I’ve been doing well recently. There are still aspects to my game that need work, but that’s the case with most players.

“Hopefully I can stay in the team until the end of the season now, score more goals and help us win the league.”
