AFC Fylde go into their first ever FA Trophy First Round tie at home to Gainsborough Trinity on the back of a 3-0 home win over Stalybridge Celtic in league action last Saturday.
The Coasters unbeaten run in all competitions stretched to five games after the win last weekend, and they’ll be looking to make that a sixth as they look to progress into the second round of the FA Trophy for the first time ever.
The last round of this competition saw a 3-2 win for The Coasters in the 3rd Qualifying Round at home to Hednesford Town thanks to goals from Josh Wilson, Richie Allen and Danny Lloyd in a closely fought match and if this game against Gainsborough is anything like the previous one so far this season then we’re in for another close contest.
The previous result between these two sides this season was 2-1 to AFC Fylde at Kellamergh Park courtesy of goals from Danny Rowe and Richie Allen back in October.
Gainsborough have lost their previous two league games against Solihull Moors and more recently Barrow, but they managed to see off Brackley Town 2-1 at home in the previous round of the FA Trophy thanks to goals from Danny Forrest and Darryn Stamp.
Trinity sit 15th in the Conference North table having lost half of their games so far this season, and The Coasters will be looking to inflict another defeat on their opponents in this game.
Ticket prices are as follows;
Adults: £10. Concessions: £7. Armed Forces Personnel: £1, Under 16’s: £1
We’d like to see as many fans down at Kellamergh Park on Saturday to cheer on The Coasters in their quest for victory!
