The Coasters will look to turn their fortunes around quickly with a second game in 48 hours today as they visit Skelmersdale United.
A shock 2-1 home defeat to Grantham Town on Saturday ended an impressive 23 game unbeaten run and put Fylde four points behind league leaders Chorley with just two games to go.
That means Dave Challinor’s side must win today and hope Chorley slip up at home to Marine in order to stay in the title race on the final day of the season on Saturday with FC United also still in the hunt three points ahead of Fylde in second place.
Fylde will be looking for revenge on today’s opponents after Skem beat Fylde at Kellamergh Park on Boxing Day. Skem still have a slim mathamatical chance of finishing in fifth place but are six points behind Ashton United and would need a 20 goals swing to turn it in their favour over the last two games.
Having never lost a league match at the West Lancashire College Stadium, Fylde will be confident they can secure the three points which will hopefully guarantee a home Semi Final tie in the Play-offs next week.
The match kicks off at 3pm and all the action will be on our Twitter feed, @AFCFylde, from around 2:45pm.
