AFC Fylde face their third home game in the space of seven days on Tuesday night as Tamworth are the visitors to Mill Farm.

The team, currently still being led by Chris Neal and Nathan Delfouneso, are unbeaten in their last two outings, earning four points against Southend United and Woking respectively.

After being held to a point against Woking with Nick Haughton scoring his ninth of the campaign, the Coasters now look to make it three games unbeaten against a Tamworth side who have won their last two games against Maidenhead and Braintree Town respectively.

Opposition Dugout: Andy Peaks

Manager Andy Peaks has led Tamworth to back-to-back promotions since his appointment at the Lamb Ground in February 2022.

Following a playing career which started at Northampton Town, before going onto feature for Rushden Town, who then became Rushden & Diamonds, where he made over 200 appearances during five-years at Nene Park.

Peaks then featured for Raunds Town, Wealdstone and a five-year stint at Stamford Town towards the end of his time as a player.

Obtaining his coaching badges, Peaks held assistant manager positions at Long Bucky and Daventry Town prior to a first-team manager role with Northampton Spencer.

Andy held the post of academy coach at Rushden & Diamonds before their closure in 2011, and then becoming assistant manager at AFC Rushen & Diamonds.

In eight-years as the Diamonds manager, Peaks led the side in over 200 matches – winning two promotions including the United Counties League Premier Division in 2014/15 and the Southern League Division One East in 2017/18 as well as three cup triumphs.

Peaks has been at Tamworth for over two-and-a-half-years, taking the Staffordshire outfit from the Southern League Central Premier Division to the Vanarama National League in two seasons.

In April, Tamworth were crowned champions having earned 96 points after winning 29 of their 46 games – letting in just 29 goals in a campaign which saw them go 14 matches without conceding.

One to watch:

Midfielder Kyle Finn was a key part of Tamworth’s Vanarama National League North title-winning campaign.

Finn’s 14 goals for the Lambs proved vital in Peaks men returning to the fifth-tier for the first time since 2014.

Born in Leamington Spa, Finn turned professional at Coventry City, spending time on loan at Tamworth and Hereford before signing permanently for the Edgar Street club in 2019.

He featured for Hereford across three seasons in the Vanarama National League North as well as loans at Stourbridge and Rushall Olympic.

Finn then signed for Halesowen Town, featuring 38 times in the 2021/22 campaign before returning to Tamworth on a permanent basis In June 2022.

In two full seasons at the Lamb Ground, Finn has featured on 81 occasions in back-to-back promotion-winning seasons.

Finn has also been capped by the Republic of Ireland U18 side.
