AFC Fylde took a point on the road after Joe Riley scored a stunning effort to help earn a point against Oldham Athletic.
Manny Monthe equalised for the hosts on the hour mark with a long range effort which slipped through the fingers of debutant Ben Winterbottom.
The point puts Fylde on four points from their opening nine with Maidenhead United coming up at Mill Farm this weekend.
The game started with Oldham putting pressure on the Coasters defence which stood firm to the early attacks.
Monthe went close with a header which flew just wide of the Coasters far post, but Fylde really began to take the game to Micky Mellon’s side.
Beech’s men first got in behind when Charlie Jolley broke free of a challenge and set Ustabasi in behind but his cross was well held by Matt Hudson in the Latics goal.
The Coasters were then in behind the Oldham defence when Haughton threaded a wonderful pass to Ustabasi who beat the offside trap and looked to set up Jolley for a tap-in, but the pass was cut out for a corner.
The resulting corner was taken short by Haughton to pick out Riley who unleashed a wonderful curling effort into the top right corner to open the scoring with ten minutes of the first half left to play.
With the Coasters leading at the break, the game became scrappy in the second half with the referee awarding plenty of free kicks.
The home side found an equaliser on the hour mark when centre half Monthe stepped into midfield before striking the ball from 25-yards out which slipped through the finger tips of Brentford loanee Ben Winterbottom to equalise.
With little left in the contest, the Coasters very nearly won it when Haughton spun in the middle of the park taking three players out of the game before slipping Jon Ustabasi through on goal, but a heavy touch let the winger down and Hudson managed to smother the ball away to safety.
Despite the rued chances, it was a solid point on the road for Beech’s men as they now look ahead to facing Maidenhead United on Saturday at Mill Farm.
