THE giant piles of trees have finally been removed from Mill Farm this week as the new home of AFC Fylde continues to take shape.
A pile of 2000 tonnes of wood chippings is all that remains from an initial stock of 45,000 trees which have since been removed, and by next week that should all have been taken away and sent off for Biomass conversion.
The road system (pictured) is being developed further with 1000 tonnes of stone a day being delivered to Mill Farm which will act as a base for the road network around the site.
Work is also being done to move topsoil from key areas on the site into a holding area for use later in the development.
