Phil Humphreys formally joins as Chairman of the AFC Fylde Community Foundation Trust.
The Foundation Trust is the charitable arm of AFC Fylde and has been playing a key role within our local community since December 2012, and will continue to invest, educate, believe, and achieve, for the people of West Lancashire.
The following introductory statement has been provided to afcfylde.co.uk by Phil Humphreys:
“First, I would like to say how pleased I am to be taking on this exciting opportunity and to be working with the Foundation’s superb team and the soon-to-be-appointed Director. I would also like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the work done over many years by the previous Chairman and the former Director.
As a lifelong resident of the Fylde coast, broad experience in commercial and business development programmes, and being a passionate football supporter, I sincerely hope that I have exactly the right credentials to assist the Foundation to further develop its strategy and capabilities.
The requirements and opportunities for the Foundation are considerable, and we will be doing everything within our capability to not only meet the needs of our customers and partners but to be nationally regarded as the benchmark in our offerings and service performance.
In parallel, we will be doing whatever needs to be done to more fully align the aims of objectives of the Foundation with those of AFC Fylde, and vice-versa. This way we can ensure that our community-focused and commercial arrangements, together with fan engagement, are exactly where they need to be.
As I say, there is a very capable and experienced team within the Foundation and we will be doing everything we can to develop both them and the future of the Foundation. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each and every member of the team in the coming weeks.”
