AFC Fylde return to Mill Farm for the second time in the space of four days tonight for the visit of Guiseley.

The Coasters recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory over Torquay United at the weekend to make it six wins from seven in all competitions. The only defeat over the last six weeks came 10 days ago at high-flying Aldershot Town.

Danny Rowe’s double against Torquay last time out took him to the top of the National League goalscoring charts. The frontman now has 10 goals in the league (13 in all comps), one ahead of Ryan Bird of table-toppers Dover Athletic.

The victory saw Fylde leapfrog FC Halifax Town and Eastleigh in the league standings into 16th place – seven points from the play-off places with a game in hand.

After avoiding relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, Guiseley again have a battle on their hands this time around. They currently reside in the drop zone, however a switch in management has seen a change of fortunes of late.

Paul Cox was appointed in early September after just one win from their opening eight league games. The new manager has lost just four of his 12 league games in charge, whilst also progressing to the FA Cup second round following a penalty shoot-out win over League Two side Accrington Stanley.

Guiseley looked on course for a crucial victory at the weekend, racing into a 2-0 lead at Dagenham and Redbridge, courtesy of goals from Lee Molyneux and Mike Fondop, but saw their advantage disappear before the break before the Daggers netted the winner ten minutes from time.

The Coasters will renew rivalries with Guiseley this evening after battling it out for promotion in 2014-15. The Yorkshire outfit eventually came out on top, seeing off Fylde in the play-off semi-finals before beating Chorley in the final.
