More children than ever across the Fylde Coast are benefiting from educational programmes being delivered in schools and nurseries by AFC Fylde Community Foundation.

The Foundation has extended the number of programmes it can offer and is now works with over 6,000 young people every week. The team delivers a wide and varied number of a successful programmes within schools including Curricular Support and extra-Curricular activities such as breakfast clubs, lunch clubs and after-school clubs.

In addition, the Foundation supports everyone within the local community with programmes such as ‘Get on Board’ and works in partnership with schools to offer health and wellbeing projects including positive mental health sessions.

Despite the growing success of the programmes on offer, AFC Fylde Community Foundation continues to push ahead and is on a mission to progress and grow the multiple educational programmes on offer, both across the Fylde Coast and further afield.

The Foundation have been enjoying a huge surge within its Primary School and Nursery engagement programmes. But, keen to ensure that what it is able to offer is all inclusive irrespective of ability, the committed team from the Foundation have been working hard to develop and extend opportunities for disabled children within the local area.

It is the continued support of Cuadrilla and Centrica which enables the Foundation to work with and support so many people across the community – a fact not lost on Community Foundation Director Tom Hutton.

He said: “I cannot emphasise enough how important these partners are to the work of the Foundation. It’s a great achievement for us to be able to see such growth with our education programmes. To be able to deliver such a diverse range of programmes locally is fantastic.

“The growth we are seeing with our education programme however would not be possible without the support of our partners, Cuadrilla and Centrica. So on record I’d like to give my continued thanks.”
