AFC Fylde are delighted to announce the loan signing of Midfielder Will Hugill from Championship side Burnley.

Hugill, 21, spent a month on loan at National League North side Chester earlier in the season and moves to Mill Farm on a month-long loan,

The midfielder has been a regular in Andy Farrell’s under 21’s side, and he made his senior debut for the Clarets back in August in a Carabao Cup tie against Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Speaking on the move, Hugill told the club website: “I’m buzzing to be here and I can’t wait to get going.

“At Chester I saw how much quicker the games are (at men’s football) and how competitive it is. I thrived off that and it helped me as a player as well as a person.

“I’m a real high energy midfielder who covers the ground well. I’ll always get stuck into tackles and give 100% for the team.”

AFC Fylde Head Coach Kevin Phillips added: “We’re really pleased to add someone of Will’s quality to the group.

“He’s a young, tenacious midfielder who Burnley have really high hopes for. He’s already featured under Scott Parker within the first team set up and after they were a Premier League side just last year, which says a lot about Will’s potential.

“We wanted some extra depth within that midfield area and we think this signing is a real coup for the club.”

Everyone at AFC Fylde welcomes Will to Mill Farm and wishes him all the best during his time with the club.
