Harry Winter informed the club last night that he was joining Chorley FC for next season.

We were aware that Chorley had coveted Harry for some time. Harry informed Dave Challinor last week that Chorley had made him an offer structured in a way that we were not comfortable in matching.

Dave Challinor commented;

“Harry has been a great asset for the club over the last two years. However we were not prepared to match Chorley’s offer. I’d like to thank Harry for his contribution last season and wish him all the best.”

David Haythornthwaite has said;

“Dave, Dai and I discussed the options and decided it would not be in the clubs long term interest to attempt to match the deal. Good luck to Harry and we hope everything works out for him.”
