AFC Fylde returned to winning ways and made it safely through to the 1^st Round of the FA Trophy after beating Hednesford 3-2 on Saturday. But what else happened? 

Fylde’s next opponents in the FA Trophy are Gainsborough Trinity who defeated Brackley Town 2-1 at the Northolme. Goals from Danny Forrest and Darryn Stamp gave Trinity the win although Will Green’s goal gave the visitors hope and made it an uncomfortable end for the home fans.

Worcester City continued their terrific run of results in cup competitions with a 3-0 win at home to Conference North leaders Barrow. The pick of the goals was an outrageous rabona from the edge of the box from top scorer Sean Geddes.

Chorley and Stalybridge will have to do battle again after a 2-2 draw at Victory Park. The Magpies faced a Stalybridge side second bottom in the Conference North and will be disappointed they couldn’t win at the first attempt. Andy Teague’s 94^th minute leveller earned Chorley a replay after Darren Stephenson’s opener for the hosts was cancelled out by goals from Paul Ennis and Liam Dickinson.

Stockport County progressed fairly comfortably despite the 2-1 scoreline at home to Colwyn Bay. Goals from Scott Spencer and Kristian Dennis put the Hatters 2-0 up at the break, although Danny Taylor’s goal with 6 minutes to go must have had some Stockport fans concerned.

Elsewhere there were wins for Boston United at home to Workington FC, Bradford Park Avenue beat fellow Conference North side 3-1 at the Horsfall Stadium and Harrogate Town came back from Kings Lynn with a 1-0 victory.

Hyde edged Tamworth in a seven goal thriller at the Lamb Ground, North Ferriby United cruised to a 6-2 win over Mickleover Sports whilst Guiseley were forced to a replay by Rushall Olympic after a 0-0 draw at Nethermoor. Solihull Moors earned a narrow 2-1 win against fellow midland side Redditch United, Gloucester City drew against local rivals Bath City, Oxford City thrashed Lewes 6-1 at Marsh Lane and Lowestoft Town progressed with an impressive 2-1 win at Eastbourne Borough.
