AFC Fylde have completed their 8th signing of the summer bringing in 6”2 centre-forward Gime Toure.
The 24-year-old Frenchman joins on a short-term deal with the option to extend after impressing whilst on trial.
Gime featured in Saturday’s friendly vs Curzon Ashton marking his debut with a goal late on at the Tameside Stadium.
Toure has enjoyed the majority of his career in his homeland. He moved to Viry Châtillon in 2013/14 season where he began to attract the attention of Premier League scouts.
He impressed and in 2014/15 he went on trial with West Bromwich Albion.
Last season the centre-forward returned to England and enjoyed a pre-season with Wrexham but eventually signed for Macclesfield Town.
When asked about his move to AFC Fylde Gime commented:
“I am delighted to join for AFC Fylde.”
“The decision to join was easy, especially after meeting with the manager and having a look around the stadium which is fantastic.”
