AFC Fylde have today completed the signing of highly sought after striker Matty Hughes.
The 23 year-old has put pen to paper on a two year deal after leaving League One side Fleetwood Town.
Hughes was being tracked by clubs at a higher level both in Conference Premier and League Two but has opted for a switch to AFC Fylde.
Manager Dave Challinor is delighted to bring a player to the club who has been on his wish list.
Hughes began his career as a trainee with Everton before a prolific two year spell with Skelmersdale Town saw Fleetwood Town swoop to sign him.
Last season he was loaned to Chester FC and became a fans favourite during a successful spell at the Swansway Chester Stadium.
On Monday we will bring you more reaction including interviews with both player and manager.
