MAJOR developments will be happening at Mill Farm this coming week, with the official ground breaking ceremony taking place on Monday.
Councillor Peter Hardy – the Mayor of the Fylde – who is also a lifelong supporter of the club and volunteer, will be in attendance at the ceremony alongside key Coasters personnel and officials.
Next week, the first inspection takes place from the Considerate Constructors Scheme at the site. The construction industry has a huge impact on all our lives, with most construction work taking place in sensitive locations. If all construction sites and companies presented an image of competent management, efficiency, awareness of environmental issues and above all neighbourliness, then they would become a positive advertisement, not just for themselves but for the industry as a whole. The inspection will look at how Warden Construction are managing all elements of the operation.
Significant progress has taken place around Mill Farm recently with the United Utilities drain diversion phase one now complete. You may also have noticed some additional traffic along the Kirkham by-pass as progress is made with bringing electricity into the development.
Tarmac will be added to the main road around the site next week and very soon we are looking at organising some tours of the complex for supporters and interested parties, so watch this space for more details!
