The academy continued there excellent start to the season by beating a highly rated Padiham team 4-1 in the Lancashire cup at Preston College. Right from the off the Academy was on the front foot. Producing excellent football and creating numerous chances.

We fell behind after 21 minutes but replied straight after with a well worked free kick, Jake Higham equalising.

After much pressure Regan Linney scored with an excellent 25 yard strike to make the score line 2-1 at half time

After the break it was all Academy. Putting pressure on the opposition and gaining our rewards with Alex Roberts running the line to square for Curtis Burke to pounce 3-1.

The game was all Academy from now, chance came and went to make the score much better, finally Curtis Burke score his 2nd and Academy’s 4th to end the game and gave us a much deserved  victory and score line.

We now move into the 3rd round of the Lancashire Cup where the draw is this Thursday.
