There was more success over the weekend for one of our Academy sides as the Under 17’s won the North West Youth Alliance division after running out 3-1 winners away at Wythenshawe Jaguars.

Goals from Ewan Thompson, Ben Jackson and Joleon Moore proved the difference as Fylde lifted the league title, sitting 11 points clear of second-placed Irlam.

Whilst the side are celebrating their league triumph, the young Coasters are hungry for more as they look to complete a league and cup treble towards the end of April, taking on Blackpool Wren U18’s in the final of the Lancashire County Cup whilst remaining in the Development Cup.

It’s another fine example of the work being done within the AFC Fylde Academy and another trophy to add to what’s been a very successful year. Everyone at the club congratulates the lads on a brilliant achievement!
