The AFC Fylde Community Foundation are delighted to welcome the Frank Whittle Partnership (FWP) as their new official sports camp partner.
Over the past four years FWP, the local architects responsible for the brand-new stadium at Mill Farm, have supported the Foundation’s sports camps and provided many children with opportunities that otherwise they may have missed out on.
FWP will again be backing the summer camps over the coming weeks and providing vital funded places for under-privileged young people to attend.
With the new stadium at Mill Farm nearing completion, FWP managing director David Robinson believed it was important to extend their sponsorship and support of the community programme.
David Robinson, managing partner of FWP, said: “We are really pleased to be continuing our successful partnership with the Foundation. It is making a very real difference to young people in the area.
“With our continued support it will give even more youngsters in the area from all backgrounds the chance to take part in a whole range of sports and activities.
“FWP has always taken a strong interest in developing and encouraging grass roots sports to support young talent and this is another positive way we are giving something back to the community.
Foundation Director Tom Hutton was equally delighted to continue the link between the two organisations.
Tom said: “On behalf of the Foundation, I would like to thank Frank Whittle Partnership for their continued support over the next two years. They have already helped us to make a real difference in so many children’s lives and now we can reach out to even more. I look forward to working closely with FWP, over the coming two years, making a real difference in our community.”
