AFC Fylde boss Dave Challinor admits he was pleased to have come way with a point following yesterday’s 2-2 draw against Bromley.
The Coasters found themselves up against it after the visitors went two goals ahead however two quick-fire goals from Serhat Tasdemir and Danny Rowe earned the hosts a share of the spoils.
Challinor said: “Considering that we found ourselves two goals down shortly after half-time, of course I am happy to have got a point from the game.
“We weren’t good for the first hour and we didn’t play with any tempo or urgency. We looked like a team that was just waiting for something to happen.
“The substitutions made a big difference, adding some youthful exuberance and gave us the spark that we needed.
“We then had a five minute spell when we scored a couple and could have had a couple more.
“It was then difficult to decide whether to then go and try and win the game, because in the back of your mind you don’t want to lose from that point.
“We had a bit more about ourselves in the second half and we will take the point and move on.
“It was great to see Tasdemir get his goal and he will have the chance to push the starting XI. He is an integral part of the squad.”
