AFC Fylde boss Dave Challinor admits he felt ‘let down’ down his side following the 4-0 thrashing at Brackley Town last night.
The Coasters crashed out of the FA Trophy after the humbling defeat and Challinor was disappointed with the display.
Challinor said: “We learnt an awful lot last night and over the next few days we will learn a lot more. We will see how people react.
“It is the first time this season that I felt let down in terms of the performance that we have put in. It wasn’t our strongest team but it was more than strong enough to compete. There are players there that question why they are not in the team and then don’t take their chance when they are.
“We will brush ourselves down and look for a reaction on Saturday at Gloucester. Good teams bounce back and that’s what we need to do.
“We expected Brackley to start the game quickly and we didn’t cope with that. We haven’t tested them in the three games against them this year.
“We have been undone by two set pieces in the opening ten minutes and our decision making was shocking.
“We asked people to play specific roles and it was evident after just 20 minutes that they had no idea what they were doing. We made changes at the break but ultimately if you don’t win individual battles then you wont win the game.”
