AFC Fylde’s next game is a home tie against Tamworth tomorrow (Saturday) as The Coasters aim to cement their second place standing with a sixth win of the season.
Dave Challinor’s side will want to build on their impressive victory at Gloucester City last weekend which propelled Fylde up to second in the Conference North table with 16 points from their first eight games, but still six behind league leaders Solihull Moors.
Last time out Matt Blinkhorn scored his first goal for the club in over 16 months since the 1-0 win over Kings Lynn Town in April 2014 which was added to by Sam Finley and then Danny Rowe as Fylde ran out 3-1 winners.
Our opponents on Saturday have had an equally impressive start with 14 points from their eight games and remain unbeaten with three wins and five draws. They currently sit fifth in the table and will look to stay there as long as possible having just missed out on the Play-offs towards the end of last season.
Tamworth are on a run of four straight draws however having drawn 0-0 with Harrogate Town and 1-1 with Nuneaton Town, Boston United and Stalybridge Celtic. Their last win came on 18th August – a 3-1 victory over AFC Telford United.
With Harrogate and Stockport County hot on the tails of The Coasters in third and fourth respectively it’s looking tight in the Play-off positions at the moment so a victory is the key for Fylde to remain in the hunt early on.

Don’t forget to come to the ground from 1pm and have a drink in the bar. We have a wide range of products including John Smith’s, Fosters and Kronenburg in Fuller’s Bar where you can watch live sport on the big screen. The club shop will be open inside the ground to stock up on all your AFC Fylde goodies – including the new 2015-16 Adidas shirt.
For food options why not try a delicious pie or a burger freshly made by local butcher J Snape and Son.
PARKING
Limited parking is free on the club car park but fans are advised to get there early to guarantee a space. All car park season ticket holders will be directed to a designated areas of the car park.
