AFC Fylde can confirm that Danny Rowe’s loan spell at Mill Farm has come to an end, and the striker has returned to Chesterfield FC.
Danny re-joined the Coasters on loan in August 2022 in a bid to regain fitness following a lengthy spell on the sidelines and racked up nine more appearances in Coasters colours, adding to the 293 he previously made in his first spell at the Club from 2014-2020.
A forever ‘Club Legend’, Danny went on to score 193 goals over the two spells at Mill Farm and will always be remembered for the numerous records broken and famous goals scored over the years.
Combining both records and goals, the most memorable was Danny’s superb free-kick at Wembley Stadium in 2019 that clinched the FA Trophy title against Leyton Orient, making Fylde the first-ever Club to win both the FA Vase & FA Trophy.
Following Danny’s loan, Director of Football Chris Beech said: “Danny Rowe’s loan with the Club has come to an end, and we thank him for his time and efforts over the past four months.
“He’s been a great servant to AFC Fylde over the years, and we wish him the very best for the rest of the season upon his return to Chesterfield.”
Everyone at AFC Fylde wishes Danny the best of luck for the future.
