Children from across the Fylde have been enjoying the Springtime sunshine at the AFC Fylde Community Foundation’s Easter Holiday camp, currently running at Kirkham St Michael’s Primary School.
Supported by the Frank Whittle Partnership (FWP) Group, the camp is running over the entire two week Easter break, providing families with an affordable, enjoyable option for their children to enjoy while away from school.
In the first week, the Foundation have seen record-breaking numbers for Easter, with over 200 visits to the Kirkham-based camp.

The range of activities on offer for young people in attendance have included visits from the AFC Fylde first team squad, a Sports Day, an Easter egg hunt and group trips to YMCA Bowl Thornton, all culminating in the end of week award ceremony for the Campers of the Week!
Activity Camp Lead at the Foundation, Dan Cookson, is very pleased with the growth of the Foundation’s camp offer since he began work on the project in 2016.
“As a team, we have spent a lot of time and effort enhancing and improving our activity camps over the last year,” he said.
“We are delighted that the FWP Group are supporting us to offer such a fantastic service to families in the area, based at the heart of our local community.”
“The Easter holidays are an exciting time for young children. We want them to have fun and enjoy their break from school and leave us with lots of lasting memories of the activities they got involved in and the new friends they have made.”
The camp still has limited availability for next week and the Foundation team urge anyone who may be interested to pre-book their space to avoid disappointment.
