The Coasters face Buxton in the F.A. Cup 3rd Qualifying Round this Saturday at Kellamergh Park as they look to go as far in the prestigious F.A. Cup competition as possible.
Fylde are one of the form teams throughout the whole of Europe right now, having won 9 out of their last 10 games in all competitions, including the last 8 in the Conference North. The league form especially has been a joy to behold for Coasters fans, and what better way to enhance your reputation than a good cup run.
In the previous round of the F.A. Cup, The Coasters managed to get past Bradford Park Avenue at the second time of asking. The first match ended 2-2 away from home, but at Kellamergh Park, BPA were no match for Fylde as the Coasters swept their opponents aside 2-1.
As for Buxton, they sit top of the Evo Stik Northern Premier League going into this game, and they managed to see off Stamford on Tuesday night, winning 3-1 away from home. In the last round of the F.A. Cup, they beat Newcastle Benfield FC but they will face a much tougher test as they travel to Kellamergh Park, where no team has won yet this season in any competition.
The Coasters were excellent in cup competitions last season and they”ll certainly want to keep that good cup record up by defeating Buxton this Saturday to be in the 4th QR draw next Monday.
Anything can happen in cup competition and the F.A. Cup is known for producing magic in many ways and we’re all hoping that we can create some magic to get to the next round of this famous cup competition.
