In a new feature, we ask members of the Coasters squad to create a dream 5-a-side team, including themselves, with past and present teammates.
Next up is captain Josh Langley…
Goalkeeper: Chris Kirkland
He was brilliant to play alongside and he was always communicating and talking. He was always unlucky with injuries, but he went on to play for Liverpool and England so he’s done very well.
Defender: Antonio Valencia
He was brilliant at Wigan. He was so strong, very quick and he never got beat one-on-one. He’s gone on to do great things at Man United now and has always been a regular, even after all this time.
Midfielder: Wilson Palacios
Unfortunately when he got his big money move to Tottenham he never quite pushed on or kicked off there. When he was at Wigan, however, he was fantastic to play with. He was very strong on the ball and ran and ran all day long.
Striker: Danny Rowe
I’ll have to put Rowey in. Just because of the number of goals he scores. Having a striker that can score from anywhere at any point in a game means you always have a chance.
