For the first time since the charity was established, AFC Fylde Community Foundation is delighted to be shortlisted as a finalist for two award categories in the Armstrong Projects Northwest Football Awards 2023, Community Club of the Year – All Other Leagues and Community Initiative of the Season.

Held at Emirates Old Trafford, the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club, on Monday 6th November, the awards evening celebrates the best in the game across the region.

As the official charity of AFC Fylde, we serve local residents of the Fylde borough across three areas: Community Development, Employability and Skills, and Schools.

Over the last year, the Foundation has had a positive impact on the lives of 6,000 people, delivered over 10,000 sessions across 24 programmes and established key local and national partners, including Fylde Council and the National Lottery Community Fund.

We are proud to see our work recognised through a nomination for Community Club of the Year – All Other Leagues

Our support for the Armed Forces Community has also been recognised, with the Foundation also being nominated for Community Initiative of the Season.

Our Armed Forces Community Project aims to help current and former Military personnel and their families across Fylde – with support from the Veterans’ Foundation, BAE Systems, and the Armed Forces Covenant Trust.

We are proud to be the only representatives of the Vanarama National League to be included in both categories, competing against other club community organisations from the Premier League and English Football League.
