Gold Omotayo is the new name on the Mill Farm block after recently signing on the dotted line for the Coasters following his departure from King’s Lynn Town.
The towering striker joins Fylde on a two-year deal and will certainly get Coasters supporters believing in him when he pulls on the white jersey, something he can’t wait to do.
“I’m delighted to sign for the Club,” Omotayo expressed. “It’s been a very eventful few days, but I’m buzzing that it’s all done. I can’t wait to meet the lads, staff and supporters and get started.”
A fantastic return of 22 goals for the Linnets throughout the 22/23 National League North campaign got the Coasters sniffing for his signature, and Gold says it was an easy decision for him to make.
“After speaking to Chris Beech and the gaffer (Adam Murray), it was made clear to me that this Club has a project and vision of where it wants to be, which was a massive tick for me.
“I know it’s a Club that is going places, and I wanted to be a part of that, but more importantly, help reach the Football League.
A striker always wants more, and that’s no different for the Coasters’ new number 11, who wants to pick up where he left off and build on his latest campaign.
“I think in the last two years, especially last season, I found my long-awaited goalscoring form, which I’m now looking to build on in a Fylde shirt.
“I will set my own targets for the upcoming season, and I’ll do everything I can to achieve them whilst helping Fylde achieve its own objectives.”
