Young Coasters fan Max Hetherington enjoyed a special day out at Kellamergh Park as part of the partnership between the club and BAE Systems.
Max was the lucky winner of a free matchday mascot experience last month in a competition run by the AFC Fylde Community Foundation for BAE Systems.
Phil Ashton, who won the competition, and Max’s dad Mark were full of praise for the club.
Mark said: “Max loved the experience and is still talking about to all his friends and family. Everyone made Max feel at home for the whole day, so much so he now feels like he’s part of set up.
“Mani from the Community Foundation was excellent with Max and both myself and Phil. We have been to a home game since and will be attending again this season as it’s a really enjoyable family day out.”
Phil said: “Max had a fantastic day and was looked after (and ran ragged) by the extremely friendly and professional staff and Syd the Seagull, whilst Mark and I relaxed by the bar looked after by the lovely Carol. Many thanks for the gift of the replica kit which Max wore all day and night and also the following day – after it had been washed!”
