Take a read of manager Dave Challinor’s programme notes, ahead of tonight’s clash with Wrexham.
Saturday was hopefully the start of a run that can get us moving up the table and back to where we want to be.
Our aims and ambitions for the season have not changed but we have made things more difficult for ourselves.
Regardless, we look forward and will work hard to pick up another three points.
Ironically, our performance against Eastleigh was in certain aspects not as good as our previous three away fixtures, yet we win and pick up three points compared to one in the previous three games.
That’s football, it can be very frustrating at times, but it’s not going to change.
The result at the weekend was obviously really pleasing for so many reasons. The players application and work rate was outstanding and they got what they deserved.
I asked your support for the players during the game and you certainly responded. It was tremendous and really made a difference and was commented upon within the dressing room after the game.
It is important now that one becomes two and we really kick on. We know that games in this division are really tough but I have real belief that this squad can compete with any in the league.
We have a run of six games in nineteen days now, a tough schedule but a real opportunity to pick up points in a short period of time.
Enjoy the game and really get behind the lads as per the weekend.
Cheers,
Chally
