It was certainly a year to remember for AFC Fylde Community Foundation.
Number crunching has proved that 2016 was hugely successful for the Foundation, verifying that they have reached more people and more sectors of the community than ever before.
With an ever growing team and the establishment of strong new partnerships and increased support, the Foundation have managed to push boundaries and increase their offer across the local community to heights never reached before.
The dedicated team at the Foundation tirelessly to achieve great results and deliver successful all-inclusive and diverse programmes across the Fylde Coast and further afield.
The Foundation has enjoyed a huge growth in numbers throughout the year, ranging from the number of people they involve in match days to school sessions.
Some of the impressive achievements by the Foundation’s during 2016 include:
205 sports sessions delivered in schools and nurseries each week
8,580 sessions delivered across the Fylde Coast during the past year
4,500 children interacted with every week
8 newly employed full-time Foundation staff members
120 positive newspaper articles featured in both regional and national press
1,440 EYFS/pre-school children engaged with
200 children involved in match day experiences
An incredible 187,000 total interactions across the community
Foundation Director Tom Hutton is understandably proud of the achievements and the dedication and perseverance of his committed team. He said: “2016 has been a massive year for the Foundation. We have managed to reach far greater heights than ever before and, with the help of our incredible community partners, our intention is to build on this success and make 2017 an even bigger and better year for everyone involved.”
