On this day in 2014, AFC Fylde beat Oxford City 8-1 in the National League North.

Richie Allen opened the scoring he 13th minute before adding his second three minutes later. The home side pulled one back on 25 minutes through Daren Pond but the two-goal deficit was restored by an own goal five minutes later.

Danny Rowe Rowe added a fourth on the 36th minute followed by a fifth from Liam Tomsett and a sixth from Mike Barnes – all before halftime.

The goal rush didn’t quite carry on into the second half but Fylde still managed another two through Rowe and Barnes to seal an unbelievable victory.
