With no win in three games, the Coasters will be looking to bounce back this weekend with a win against Oxford City which will help the Coasters steer clear of the relegation zone and back towards mid-table.
Last time out the Coasters were subject to a 1-2 defeat at home to Wealdstone in a game which could have gone either way. An audacious flick from Nick Haughton gave Fylde fans hope as he levelled the game in the 58th minute, but it wasn’t meant to be as Manny Duku scored the winner by finishing in the top corner.
Chris Beech will also be looking to improve the defensive situation for the Coasters with seven goals conceded in the last three games costing the Coasters vital points. However, a win this weekend will get things back on track and could potentially push the Coasters into 13th position if results and goal difference goes our way. With six games to go, the Coasters are now on the final push to stay up and a win this Saturday could go a long way to achieving this.

The Opposition
The City currently sit bottom of the National league pile and with 6 games to and 15 points behind the team sitting in 20th place, it doesn’t look good for the Blues. However, based on this season’s performances one thing is for certain and that is that the City will not go down without a fight.
With no win since the 27th of January, City will be looking to boost their survival hopes this weekend with a win against the Coasters which would drag them right into a relegation battle with 5 games to go.
However, the Blues defence has been the main problem this season conceding an average of just over 2 goals per game, Conceding 85 in 40 league games. But one thing the City can do is put the ball in the back of the net and with the Coasters not on their best form recently, City will look to pounce on that and give them some belief in their efforts to stay up.

Classic Clash
This week’s classic clash goes back to 2014 when the Coasters travelled down to Oxfordshire and put on a show. Leading 1-6 at half time the Coasters never looked back and went on to score 2 more goals in the 2nd half. The Coasters went on to finish the season in 2nd place, missing out on promotion to Barrow.
Key Players
Nya Kirby: The ex-Crystal Palace youngster joined City in the summer and is definitely a coup for this side. Spells on loan at Blackpool and Tranmere prove his skill and value. A midfielder with an eye for a pass and the skill to get forward is a huge asset for Oxford.
Harvey Greenslade: The Forward who has made his breakthrough season for the City this season and has proved that he is more than capable of mixing it with the best in this division. 1 goal to his name but his efforts deserve more than that, at 19 Greenslade certainly has a bright future.
Josh Parker: Another forward who has impressed since making the move up from National League South. 12 goals this season prove he can score amongst the best and his goals may be a vital asset for Oxford this season and going forward into next season.
