This evening the Club received confirmation that tomorrow’s National League North fixture vs Southport FC has been postponed due to a ‘Covid event’ within the Southport squad.

Southport have issued the following statement:

“Southport Football Clubs National League North match -v- AFC Fylde has been postponed due to a covid event within our own squad.

Two players reported symptoms to the club this morning and we engaged with National League and our own Club Medical officer, Dr Adele Farrell.

All players and staff identified as being close contacts will now self isolate until the test results are known.”

We will announce a revised date for the rearranged fixture as soon as we receive one.
