Following Saturdays 1-1 draw at Barnet, AFC Fylde are one of four teams yet to lose away this season. More impressively the Coasters have conceded just seven goals – the best defence in the division.

Tonight they travel to face FC Halifax Town who are without in win in their last five games. The Shaymen currently sit 11th in the table just three positions below AFC Fylde.

The two clubs have met four times over the past few years with the Coasters winning three and losing one. The sides last met in March 2018 as AFC Fylde moved within two points of the National League Play-Off places with a comfortable 2-0 victory. Goals from Jonny Smith and James Hardy sealed the points.

Jamie Fullarton

Fullarton enjoyed a successful playing career with several clubs in Scotland, France and England, including St Mirren, Bastia, Crystal Palace, Bolton Wanderers, Dundee United, Brentford and Southend United. He managed Notts County in 2016 but was sacked after just 12 games in charge.
In February 2018 Fullarton was announced as the new manager of F.C. Halifax Town. At the time of his appointment, the Shaymen were just two points clear of relegation. Fullarton managed to steer them clear finishing 16th.

Nathan Clarke

Nathan joined his hometown FC Halifax Town finally at the age of 34. The centre-half started his career with Huddersfield Town making 266 league appearances. He is vastly experienced with football league experience from his time with Colchester, Oldham, Bury, Leyton Orient, Bradford City, Coventry City and Grimsby Town.
Clarke is the older brother of Tom Clarke who captains Preston North End.

One to Watch

Dayle Southwell

After starting his career with Grimsby Town Southwell first came on the scene for Boston United scoring an impressive 52 goals in 74 games, his fine goalscoring form earnt him a move to League Two side Wycombe Wanderers. A loan move to Lincoln City soon followed before the striker joined Guiseley in 2017/18. Last season the 24-year-old scored seven goals in 18 games for the Lions as they were relegated from the National League. Southwell joined the Shaymen in the summer on a two-year contract and has already got three goals to his name this season.
