We are set for another busy day here at Mill Farm tomorrow as AFC Fylde look to continue their fine form at the top of the National League North against basement club Altrincham.
We are anticipating another lively atmosphere in Churchill’s for Matchday Hospitality with over 70 places sold already and fantastic feedback flooding in on a daily basis.
Several new perimeter boards have been erected around the pitch today and are proving very popular with clients with over 40 sold this season. To advertise your business at Mill Farm or to book hospitality, please contact Commercial Manager David Broadbent on david.broadbent@afcfylde.co.uk or 07715 182148.
However, the biggest story and discovery of the week (literally) was an enormous granite rock that has been unearthed when digging out the onsite water retention pond down by the 3G pitches.
The 10-tonne granite rock, that was formed by a glacier millions of years ago (probably), was so large that our team here had to revert back to the ancient Egyptian times and use rollers to shift it!
The rock will now be used as a feature at the car park entrance to the 3G pitches – and a name for our new friend? Send your answers on a postcard!
Elsewhere onsite, the Euro Garages petrol station is the latest outlet on the development to open for business. The unit, complete with a Sainsburys local and a Greggs bakery, opened its doors to the public this morning.
The KFC drive-thru next door is set for a Monday 13th February opening – perfect timing for all the hopeless romantics out there for Valentine’s Day!
