Forward Lewis Walters has penned a deal with The Coasters, following a successful trial period with the club.
Walters, 23, made 15 appearances for Barrow in the 2017/2018 season whilst on loan from Nottingham Forest, scoring once and assisting four times.
The forward was a regular in Nottingham Forest’s U-23 squad after signing in September 2016 following a spell at Leeds United.
He then spent the beginning of 2018-2019 on trial with Carlisle United before joining Guiseley of the National League North, in order to be closer to home having recently had a child.
After starting the 2018-2019 season with Guiseley, where he made 11 league appearances, Walters joined the Coasters on a month-long trial.
In his time, Walters has impressed boss Dave Challinor, and has today signed non-contract terms until the end of the season.
“The lads were all welcoming, which obviously helps as to how well you settle in is always affected by that,” said Walters.
“It’s been really good working with Chally,” he said. “The training sessions are very good, the intensity is very high and Chally likes hard workers, and considering I’m a hard worker, it’s been rewarding.”
Walters will be wearing the number 29 and is available for Saturday’s away encounter with Maidstone United.
