AFC Fylde Community Foundation have successfully launched a brand new community initiative named ‘Fylde Super 7s’!

The Foundation are touring around Primary Schools on the Fylde Coast handing out ‘Golden Tickets’ to lucky youngsters, each with the opportunity for a fun-filled matchday at Mill Farm.

Launched at the weekend against Woking, each child receives an exclusive AFC Fylde goodie bag with their Golden Ticket, including a home shirt, matchday ticket, bobble hat and pen to remember their day.

The visiting children also get the chance to meet the players, have their photo taken on the pitch and watch the match all courtesy of the Foundation. The first lucky youngsters to take advantage of this new initiative met star midfielder James Hardy, who posed for photos and signed autographs for the delighted children.

The programme is aimed at Year 3 students throughout the Fylde Coast and the Foundation aim to offer the opportunity to each and every Year 3 class that they work with.

Foundation Director Tom Hutton is excited to have kicked off the new initiative and said: “We aim to offer this great opportunity to each local school we work with. It’s a great opportunity to give back to the kids we work with and show them a bit more about what we do.

“Plus it’s a great way to get youngsters involved with their local club and hopefully will create a few new fans for AFC Fylde! Look out for your Golden Ticket coming soon!”

One lucky Mayfield student could not hide his delight after his day out at Mill Farm: “I had such a brilliant day at AFC Fylde. All of the coaches come into my school to do sports and to visit the stadium and receive a free gift bag was a fantastic for me and my friends!”
